Strawberry sorbet

Strawberry sorbet

There it is, the dessert of my childhood. All my family quickly understood that if they wanted to please me or just that I actually eat something (I was a pain in the ass with the food as a child), that was not a cake with plenty of cream that they could give me but very much a strawberry sorbet.

My grandmother was always buying me strawberry ice cream, but no granny, no, this is definitely the sorbet that I like the most and with fresh strawberry pieces, please! Why do they put milk with strawberry 🙂 !

My father was sometimes giving me a whole pack of strawberry sorbet while he was watching football. Ah, he clearly knew how to make me watch the game. However even if I still love strawberry, I still have not a lot of interest about football.

And my mother who was always filling our freezer with delicious sorbets!

Strawberry sorbet

I can eat sorbet all the time for ever. Besides, that’s what I almost do. One little bowl each evening. But Switzerland is the country of ice cream, and not sorbet. Because of their milk cows, their ice cream are wonderul but not quite light. My favourite, the “Caramelita” of Movenpick, the best ice cream of the entire world. That’s actually one of the only ice cream that I am eating.

All of that is to say that finding sorbet other than lemon is quite difficult at the Coop, however Migros has a nice choice, so when I do not have time to make them, I just go there!
